Nobody denies Gen. Patraeus is a brilliant General. But the stupidness about Patraeus v. Obama is ludicrous. Every American know including Obama, when we place our troops against any force in the world we will prevail. Obama's point is the surge didn't establish political consolidation that it was purported to do. Now we have McCain blaming the financial debacle on Obama. It's obvious McCain has sunk to a new low when the only thing he has to offer are cheap shots at Obama. As a Vietnam veteran (9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division) I honor all who served in the military. But by no means do I accept that being a POW legitimizes someone to be President. The bottom line is this, if the Bush administration and McCain wouldn't have made the idiotic decision to invade Iraq in the first place; the surge would be a non-issue. Since you guys are challenging Obama to admit that the surge worked, and he should say so and admit that he was wrong. When are you going to ask McCain to admit that he was wrong about his decision to invade Iraq in the first place. And please don't give me the stupidness about Sadaam was a bad guy anyway. We have bad dictators all over the world, are any of you stand on the sideline guys willing to go on 4 and 5 tours to get rid of any of them?
